Islam Makhachev established himself in style in main event of UFC 311 against Renato Moicano. He closed the fight in the first round by submission (D’Arce choke). The Dagestani therefore retains his belt and cements his status as the best fighter in all categories. The question now is who can end Makhachev’s hellish streak of 15 victories.
Ilia Topuria veut Islam Makhachev
Ilia Topuria, who had already expressed his intention to move up to lightweight to challenge the reigning champion, reacted to this victory. It seems that Islam Makhachev’s performance did not dampen his nerves.
“Islam, if I want, I can finish you off. I can finish you if I want, I can knock you out. I’ll make it look easy. See you soon “.
The Georgian Hispanic, current featherweight champion, therefore confirms his desire to move up in category to challenge Islam Makhachev.
