Until March 10, Bécancourois are invited to participate in the Snow Castle Challenge. This fun activity will allow young and old alike to have a good time outside, while participating in the beautification of their neighborhood.
After carefully reading the regulations and safety instructions, participants must build their castle and when it is finished, simply take a photo of it in landscape format. The file must then be submitted in the “Registrations” section of the defichateaudeneige.ca website.
Different categories are offered, such as Family and friend (for the general population), Early childhood (offered to daycare and CPE services which supervise children aged 0 to 5), School (for primary, secondary schools, CEGEPs and universities ), Organization (for non-profit organizations, groups or municipalities), Business (for businesses wishing to participate in the challenge as a social engagement activity with its employees and their families), and Municipality or organization event ( event which includes the Snow Castle Challenge in their programming).
-“This initiative encourages participation and mobilization, in addition to promoting the neighborhood. The Snow Castle Challenge is therefore in perfect harmony with the Family Policy of the City of Bécancour,” we can read via the official press release.
At the end of the challenge, the City of Bécancour will draw two prizes among the participants, namely two stays of two nights each for two to four people in chalets (Le Cardinal and Le Colibri) in the Gentilly River Regional Park.
