Thursday’s (16th) Basketball match between Paris Basketball and Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague was classified as high risk by the National Anti-Hooliganism Division. This increased concern is due to the fact that the Zionist club has become a focal point for pro-Palestine protests in several cities across Europe.
The match, which is part of the 22nd rounds of the prestigious European Cup, was rated at level 4 risk on a scale of 1 to 5. In a decree published on Tuesday (14), the Paris Police Prefecture has declared that the match “could be a privileged and symbolic target for acts of a terrorist nature” in a “currently very high threat context.” Macron’s government continues to faithfully adhere to Zionist policies.
In November 2024, the Maccabi Tel Aviv football team played a match in Amsterdam. Fascist supporters chanted slogans against Arabs and tore down Palestinian flags in the streets, provoking a reaction from the local population. Since then, Maccabi’s matches in Europe have led to crises.
