Al-Hilal inflicted a resounding defeat on Al-Fateh (9-0) this Thursday, during the 15th day of the Saudi Pro League.
The reigning champion quickly took control of the match, thanks to a first goal from Kalidou Koulibaly in the 20th minute. Renan Lodi doubled the lead in the 39th, before a spectacular end to the first period with a double from Marcos Leonardo (45+6th) and a goal from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (45+9th).
After returning from the locker room, Al-Hilal did not slow down. Marcos Leonardo scored a double (54th) then a hat-trick (65th). In the last minutes of the match, Al-Hamdan (90+1) and Malcom (90+5) completed the big victory.
This victory propels Al-Hilal to the top of the championship with 40 points, two lengths behind Al-Ittihad, while Al-Fateh, still bottom, remains stuck in the relegation zone.
