Mahmoud Al-Qayyati, a member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center, said that the mist reaching the point of fog is normal, as this time of year is considered the main season for mist due to the cooling that occurs during the night hours in the winter.
Al-Qayati pointed out, through a telephone interview on Youm 7 TV, that there is moisture in the air layers, as there are two main air masses, an air depression and an air high in the upper air layers, which works to increase the brightness of the sun’s rays during the day, in addition to sources of desert air masses.
Al-Qayati expects weather conditions to continue to remain stable until the middle of next week, after which temperatures will drop slightly, then temperatures will rise again at the end of the week to remain higher than normal levels for this time of year.
Some light rain was also expected to fall in the southeast of the country, especially Halayeb and Shalatin.
As for the expected maximum and minimum temperatures today, as follows: Great Cairo 21 degrees and Minor 13, Great Alexandria 21 and Minor 11, Great Matrouh 21 degrees and Minor 11, Great Sohag 26 degrees and Minor 12, Great Qena 29 degrees and Minor 14, and Aswan. The high is 30 degrees and the low is 15 degrees.
