The Switch 2 has finally been made official! Nintendo has lifted the veil on its machine, without giving much information about it. It will be possible to try it in preview next April in Paris. Here’s how to do it.
It’s done ! The Switch 2 was made official by Nintendo this Thursday, January 16. For the moment, we don’t know much, but we at least know the design of the beast. The Kyoto firm will say more very soon and will even let fans take it in hand in preview.
In fact, it will organize large test sessions all over the world in order to let the general public approach the machine. In North America, Asia, Australia… and also in Europe! Here are the dates delivered by the manufacturer:
- Paris: April 4 to 6
- London: April 11 to 13
- Milan: April 25 to 27
- Berlin: April 25 to 27
- Madrid: May 9 to 11
- Amsterdam: from 9 to 11 May
How to register to try the Switch 2 in advance?
In France, you will therefore have to go to Paris to try the machine. The event will be held at the Grand Palaisa stone’s throw from the Champs Elysées. To participate, nothing could be simpler: simply register on this site between January 17 (3 p.m.) and January 26 (11:59 p.m.). After this time, it will be ruined. Nintendo specifies that visitors without a ticket who come to the site will not be admitted. Once registered (using your Nintendo account), everything is not over, since a draw will then take place. So you’ll have to keep your fingers crossed.

Nintendo knows that the Switch 2 is highly anticipated and does not hesitate to raise the stakes with such events. This is not the first time that the Japanese firm has employed this strategy. In 2011, such events had already been organized to show the general public the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS. More recently (2018), it was the Nintendo Labo which was presented in this way.
As a reminder, the Switch 2 will be revealed in more detail during a Nintendo Direct on April 2.
