Daredevil: Born Again – A bloody first trailer for the next Marvel series

Disney+ is probably playing big with Daredevil: Born Again. Its two main licenses, Star Wars and Marvel, have been seriously losing steam for several months, and the streaming service needs a clear and clear hit to attract subscribers.

What better way to do this than the sequel/reboot of the popular series Daredevil from Netflix? That’s good, the official trailer unveiled this Wednesday makes you want to believe in the project.

The Return of the Man Without Fear

Always worn by Charlie Cox as blind lawyer Matt Murdock by day and superhero Daredevil by night, Daredevil: Born Again will bring back many familiar faces. Our hero, who is taking a break from his nightlife, will always be able to count on his comrades from Hell’s Kitchen, Foggy (Elden Henson) and Karen (Deborah Ann Woll).

They probably won’t be too much: not only has Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) become mayor of New York, but also a certain Frank Castle (John Bernthal), otherwise called the Punisher, will also be in an equation which looks muscular.

At the latter, many masked faces will visibly deliver, and especially receive, numerous blows. We will also note the presence of Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk or even Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye.

Daredevil: Born Again underwent complicated production. The Marvel show had to suspend filming due to the writers’ strike, and even saw Kevin Feige replace the entire writers and directors of the series to make a complete artistic shift.

In the end, it was Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Loki, Moon Knight) who recovered the baby, while the number of episodes was drastically reduced, going from the announced 18 to 13. Hopefully this change of direction will have been beneficial for the series.

The first season of Daredevil : Born Again will be broadcast from March 5 on Disney+, while the latest news is that filming for season 2 is already scheduled to begin in February.

In the meantime, all the episodes of the series Daredevil made in Netflix are available on Disney+, as well as all MCU series, including Hawkeye et Echowhere the Kingpin already appears.
