Their masters no longer wanted them, but they nevertheless had undeniable qualities.
Since the terrible fires that hit California, firefighters have been on war footing. Since January 7, 2025, large-scale fires have raged around Los Angeles, and the human toll is very heavy, with 25 deaths recorded in the first week.
Tirelessly, the firefighters try to contain the flames, and some of them have work pairs that are not quite like the others: former shelter dogs, they are today heroes.
Abandoned because they were hyperactive
Because of their very energetic temperament, several dogs have been placed in shelters by their owners. However, this “flaw” is an undeniable quality for rescue dogs, and the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF) understands this well.

Even though they were doomed to a grim future in shelter, they were ultimately able to take a very nice revenge on life, by finding humans who recognized their strengths. The story of these dogs reminds us of an essential thing: if we don’t get recognition and our qualities are not noticed, we are not necessarily the problem… Sometimes, we are simply not in the right place.
