Users prefer high-end iPhones
First reason: consumers’ growing attraction to high-end iPhones. The Pro versions are very popular and the iPhone 16 confirmed this despite the few improvements. The analysis firm Counterpoint confirms this trend in an analysis by Ivan Lam.
So of course, overall sales are decreasing but in return, consumers are opting for expensive iPhones, which offsets this decline. In China in particular, the Pro and Pro Max versions represented 45% of the distribution in the fourth quarter of 2023.
