It’s signed, Donyell Malen arrives in the Premier League under the colors of Aston Villa.
Borussia Dortmund has formalized the departure of Donyell Malen to Aston Villa. The English club signed the Dutch striker for 25 million euros, with an additional five million in bonuses. In three and a half years spent at Dortmund, the Dutch international played 132 matches, scored 39 goals and provided 20 assists.
Malen, who turns 26 this Sunday, joined Dortmund in 2021 from PSV Eindhoven. This season he has scored five goals. Aston Villa welcomed the striker’s arrival in a statement, highlighting his key role in Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final last year. With 13 goals scored in the Bundesliga last season, Malen has more than 100 club goals.
