The chemicals manufacturer Arkema has just announced the appointment of a new director at the head of the Pierre-Bénite factory. François Girot already knows this platform having held various positions there. He then worked on other sites, continuing his career at Solvay in Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or. He returned to Arkema in 2020 as industrial manager. For a year, François Girot had become the deputy of Pierre Clousier, the former director of Pierre-Bénite, who joined the group’s head office as environment director.
This arrival corresponds to the moment when the industrial platform is required to no longer release PFAS (persistent chemical substances into the environment). Asked in mid-December by our editorial team about the nature of the replacement molecules now used and its previous choices of products, the manufacturer has not yet responded.
