This year, we learn that four talents will have “direct access” to the Academy. These singers will not have to perform to earn their place: they will benefit from a “pass” and will immediately join the adventure without going through the selection process during the first variety show.

18 talents, but only 14 places available
At the end of Variété this Sunday, January 19 at 7 p.m., 14 artists will have the chance to board the bus heading to the brand new Academy. Knowing that four places are already taken, Sunday evening will be crucial. There are 14 people who will have to prove that they deserve one of the ten remaining accesses, which reduces the chances.
A new privilege

A new academy
Before the holidays, Star Academy announced that the show will no longer take place in the legendary Maplewood Manor in Waterloo. For the very first time, the academicians’ residence is located in the heart of Montreal.
On the way to Star Academy will be broadcast from January 13 to 16 at 7:30 p.m. on TVA and TVA+. Then, the very first variety show will take place this Sunday, January 19 at 7 p.m. From Monday January 20, don’t miss the daily, broadcast Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m., to follow every moment of their incredible musical adventure.
As usual, the public will have their say on the candidates’ journey and will be able to vote to save their favorite singer. For the first time, however, you will need to create a (free) account on staracademie.ca to exercise your right to vote. Each user will be able to vote up to five times a week, starting on Tuesday.
