The closing match of the 20th day of Serie A ended with a 2-1 victory for Monza at home against Fiorentina.
Monza produced the great performance of the evening by beating Fiorentina, 2-1, in front of their home crowd at the Brianteo Stadium. Patrick Ciurria opened the scoring just before the break (44th), and Daniel Maldini doubled the lead in the second half (63rd). Despite a penalty converted by Lucas Beltran (74th), the Viola was unable to reverse the trend.
This victory does not prevent AC Monza from remaining bottom of the championship, while Fiorentina remains 6th, one point behind Juventus Turin.
