A man disguised as a firefighter who looted burned houses arrested for “flagrant burglary”
A man who disguised himself as a firefighter and looted homes affected by the fires was arrested for “flagrant burglary,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna. “I saw a man who looked like a firefighter, and I asked him if he was okay because he was sitting on the ground,” he explained during a press conference. “I didn’t realize he was handcuffed (…) He had just been caught red-handed burglarizing a house,” he added. Since the start of the fires, around twenty looters have been arrested.
