Football: Lyon fans, rejected from the Francis-Le Blé stadium for Brest-OL, end up at the women’s handball match

It must be admitted: seeing supporters of Olympique Lyonnais liven up the Bretagne Handball match against Rapid Bucharest is something incongruous. However, the Bad Gones found themselves in the Breton handball room this Saturday. They even witnessed a great French victory (33-21).

The Rhone fans had initially come to watch the Ligue 1 match of Olympique Lyonnais on the pitch at the Stade Brestois. But they were not able to enter the Francis-Le Blé compound, due to a prefectural decree issued this Friday. The Bad Gones therefore decided to go to the stands of the Arena Brest where the BBH handball players were playing a Champions League match.

According to Le Télégramme, OL supporters demonstrated against the prefectural decree in front of the room and then entered it. The sixty Bad Gones present sang for around twenty minutes, encouraging the local players, and the scene rather amused the rest of the audience.

At the same time, Olympique Lyonnais lost on the Brest pitch (2-1). Mahdi Camara (6th) and Ludovic Ajorque (25th), author of a sumptuous goal, quickly scored. If Jordan Veretout reduced the gap (45th + 2), was not able to equalize and conceded its fifth defeat of the season in Ligue 1.
