As expected, German technician Jürgen Klopp, new global football director of Red Bull, minority shareholder of Ligue 2 club Paris FC, is attending with the Arnault family the meeting between the club and Amiens this Saturday in Paris.
The former Liverpool coach, who took office on January 1 in the energy drink group, arrived at the Charléty stadium a quarter of an hour before the game kicked off. He appeared in the presidential stand all smiles, willingly taking numerous selfies, alongside Pierre Ferracci, the president of the Parisian club, who sold the PFC to the Arnault family and Red Bull.
Antoine Arnault, new strongman of the club and Rai, former glory of PSG now advisor and ambassador of the PFC, are also in the stands. As well as the former president of PSG, Michel Denisot, and the former German striker Mario Gomez, members of the club’s board of directors.
Klopp’s first speech expected on Tuesday
Paris FC, which remains on two consecutive losses in Ligue 2, hopes to relaunch against Amiens in order to put pressure on the current leader, Lorient, also looking for a rebound during the reception of Metz. Since the takeover of the club by the Arnault family and Red Bull, the PFC has clearly marked time: in its last eight outings, it has only won once and lost three times in all competitions.
Klopp is due to speak for the first time since taking up the post on Tuesday at Red Bull headquarters near Salzburg in Austria during a press conference organized by the group.
