PSG without its captain. Marquinhosaffected in the adductor, will not be available on Sunday January 12 for ’ match against Saint-Etienne at the Parc des Princes as part of the 17th day of Ligue 1, Parisian coach Luis Enrique said on Saturday.

Complicated matches ahead

“Victim of a little discomfort in the adductor area during the Champions Trophy”, the Brazilian did not participate in the collective session on Saturday and carried out individualized training, according to the medical press release.

Beyond Sunday’s meeting, Paris will have a series of complicated matches in the coming weeks, notably in the Champions League against Manchester City (22nd) and Stuttgart (29th).

“We have to improve for the next matches, in all aspects of the game, offensive and defensive,” he said.

But, “at the moment, I can say that we are in the best moment of the season, I am starting to see that there are many players who can be starters. This means there is a lot of competition. For a coach it’s very positive. Whether or not that is reflected in the results we will see but I am very happy with what I have seen in recent weeks,” explained the coach.
