After getting angry with Montpellier’s possible interest in Wissam Ben Yedder, Daniel Riolo, editorialist for After Foot, explains that he was contacted by Laurent Nicollin, president of Hérault, who formally denied this rumor.

“My opinion on possibly taking Ben Yedder, I don’t take a word out of all that,” says Daniel Riolo in the preamble. “On the other hand, on the fact that Montpellier thought about it, Laurent Nicollin contacted me and said: ‘I don’t understand how this story could have come out’. I blame myself a little because it was enough that I sent him a message but this story was relayed so much by a lot of media that Montpellier was interested in this player and I was speechless when he told me that.
