A mini-series inspired by a true story
If “The Crime at the Roots” unleashes so much passion among Netflix subscribers, it is undoubtedly because it is inspired by a true story. In October 2004, in Sweden, a fifty-year-old named Anna-Lena Svensson was found dead, stabbed, in Linköping. Then, the police discovered the lifeless body of an eight-year-old boy, Mohammed Ammouri. For around fifteen years, these two murders remained unsolved until the culprit’s DNA was discovered on a genealogy site.
