Hakim Jemili, Louis Cattelat, Lilia Benchabane… For its sixth edition, the IMA Comedy Club continues to gain momentum and hosts gala evenings. From January 29 to February 2, the auditorium from the Arab World Institute (IMA) rolls out the red carpet to the best comedians of the moment as well as many emerging talents over five evening events. Opening and closing galas, queer “Habibi” gala, Arabic-speaking evenings… A festival of spirit to spend the winter at the show.
Three galas, three atmospheres
On the five scheduled evenings, there are three French-speaking galas and two Arabic-speaking shows (the first in Algerian Arabic, the second in Egyptian Arabic). For the kick-off, the IMA gives voice to young talents. On the bill for the opening gala on Wednesday January 29, a nice panel of six up-and-coming comedians, including Sofiane Soch and Lilia Benchabane (Wicked Disabled).
On Friday January 31, the Habibi gala evening will make room for the queer scene, with some of our favorite young guard comedians like Louis Cattelat and Ameziane Bouzid. To finish in style, the IMA Comedy Club will hand over the microphone to Hakim Jemili from 5 p.m. on Sunday February 2. Alone on stage, the comedian will perform his latest one-man show, Fatigue.
