In April 2023, Robert De Niro became a father for the seventh time at the age of 80. Nearly two years later, he confides in his fatherhood.
Robert De Niro is a great actor who, in addition to having had a long professional career, has a busy personal life as he is the father of seven children. He had a first son, Raphaël, born from a union with the American actress Diahnne Abbott. He then adopted Drena, his wife’s daughter from a previous union, before welcoming twins almost 10 years later, born to a surrogate mother. Robert De Niro went on to have two more children with Grace Hightower, whom he married in 1997.

But that’s not all. In April 2023, Robert De Niro announced that he was the father of a little girl, born the same month, with his partner Tiffany Chen, actress and martial arts champion, 35 years his junior. At 80 years old, the actor has once again expanded his family, to his greatest happiness.
“I’m an 80 year old father and it’s great! Everything that consumes or preoccupies me disappears when I look at her. It’s simply wonderful. I want to be with her as long as possible to enjoy it,” he confided in an interview with AARP and whose comments were relayed by Elle magazine.

But what’s life like as a dad when you’re over 80? In an interview with the Sunday Times this Saturday, January 4, Robert De Niro spoke on this subject. In particular, he confided that he did not participate in all the tasks related to life with a young child. As CNEWS reports, he no longer changes diapers and leaves this task to his partner.

However, Robert De Niro is there for his daughter since he is the one who gets up in the morning when she wakes up. He enjoys spending time with her watching Ms Rachel, a famous YouTuber in the United States who provides educational content for children.
“I spend my mornings watching Ms. Rachel with her and giving her her bottle,” Robert De Niro confided.
