FITUR 2025: The King and Queen of Spain visit the Moroccan pavilion

The King and Queen were welcomed, on this occasion, by the Moroccan ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaichthe general director of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), Achraf Faydaand the president of the National Tourism Confederation, Hamid Bentaher.

Morocco’s tourist offer will be strongly presented by the ONMT during this 45th edition of the FEATUREwhich will continue until January 26 at the Madrid Forum (IFEMA).

L’ONMT occupies a large stand with an area of ​​700 m2, staffed by teams from the Office, Regional tourism centersfrom the different regions of the Kingdom and professionals in the sector to promote the Morocco destination.

With nearly 3.5 million tourists, the Iberian market which presents development potential on all segment opportunitiesis highly strategic and a priority for Morocco.

On the sidelines of the show, the ONMT concludes several strategic agreements to strengthen international partnerships, particularly with CEAV confederations (Spain) and APAVT (Portugal). These agreements aim to position Morocco as an international destination of the year. Initiatives include the organization of Travel Days of the CEAV in Morocco in October 2025 and the APAVT annual congress in 2026, bringing together 100 Spanish prescribers and 750 Portuguese stakeholders respectively.

With the Andalusian Federation of Travel Agencies (FAV), l’ONMT plans a first collaboration which will highlight Morocco through targeted actions in Andalusia and the organization of the FAAV annual congress in April 2025 in Tetouan, Tamuda Bay and Tangier.

The ONMT also concluded partnerships with the main players in the Iberian tour operating and global, such as Avoris, Solferias, Destinia, and Luxotour El Corte Inglés, Expedia, Jet2com, and TripAdvisor.

A historic partnership with the GEA agency networkwith 2,500 agencies in Portugal, Brazil and Latin America, is also planned and aims to actively promote Morocco.

And in view of major events like the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, l’ONMT collaborates with Africa Morocco Linksa strategic communication plan and a commercial system targeted at the Spanish market and Balearia, new maritime line Tarifa-Tangier Ville to strengthen the tourist flows.

An essential business and innovation forum for the global tourism industry, FEATURE-2025 will highlight the sector’s exceptional performance in 2024 and its promising prospects for this year.
