Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) is a brilliant and unusual lawyer. It can be said that she is renowned for her flair, intelligence and insight. After a remarkable career in Chicago, she decided to embark on a new adventure as an investigator in New York. There, she collaborates with Captain CW Wagner (Wendell Pierce), the head of the NYPD, and police officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson), who comes to appreciate her unique style and unconventional methods. Each episode follows the principle of howcatcheman inversion of the classic whodunit. The principle? The identity of the murderer, his motivations and the preparation for the crime are revealed from the first minutes, leaving room for the investigation. This format is reminiscent of cult series like Columbo. Created by Robert and Michelle King, Elsbeth explores with humor and originality the underside of criminal investigations.
