The granddaughter of the former leader of the National Front wrote a message on social networks to pay tribute to her grandfather, who died this Tuesday, January 7 at the age of 96.

“Daddy, don’t worry.” Marion Maréchal reacted this Tuesday, January 7 on social networks to the death of her grandfather Jean-Marie Le Pen, who died at the age of 96.

“Daddy, don’t worry: the mission you entrusted to me 13 years ago with your letter, I have not forgotten it. I have been trying to carry out this mission ever since”, writes in particular the one who was a member of the National Front before leaving it in 2019.

“You allowed, for a long time alone against everyone, that millions of French people were once again proud of themselves and their country. Thank you for all that,” continues Marion Maréchal, speaking of her grandfather as a “ an extraordinary man” and adding that the “opponents, the mediocre and the dishonest will reduce (him) to a vile provocateur.”

“You loved people, sincerely, and the French more than anything,” she adds again, wishing that Jean-Marie Le Pen “could find up there (her) dear Joan of Arc, the patron saint whom you chose to shed light on your political struggle, your old friends from Indochina and Algeria, your activists who died for their commitment to the FN, your father, the fisherman boss who left you when you were only 14 years old and left you a ward of the Nation.

“Leave peacefully, I will not abandon the mission”, assures Marion Maréchal at the end of her message.
