Stay vigilant with this yellow alert for slippery conditions
No accidents yet on our road network but stay vigilant with this yellow alert for slippery conditions issued by the IRM for the entire country (except the coast).
The lines are located in the usual places on the Brussels ring road:
+10 minutes from Grand-Bigard to Anderlecht-Nord from Halle and from Strombeek-Bever to Machelen from Zaventem.
The light lines between Wezembeek-Oppem and Tervuren towards Waterloo.
Start of slowdowns also on the E429 Tournai – Brussels between Tubize and the Chaussée de Mons towards Halle.
Already an accident on the E40
A first accident between a car and a truck occurred on the E40 Brussels-Liège, near Pousset in the direction of Liège.
The car is in the middle of the road and there is oil on the traffic lanes. The truck is obstructing the emergency lane. The passage is difficult and is done via the left lane.
We also remind you that temperatures can drop this morning to around 0°C in many places, favoring the formation of ice patches. This is why the entire country (except the coast) is placed on yellow alert by the IRM until 10 a.m. A new warning will likely be issued this afternoon for expected snowfall.
Adapt your speed, maintain safety distances and above all avoid sudden braking.
