According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Riccardo Adami could become Lewis Hamilton’s new racing engineer at Ferrari from 2025. This strategic position, which should therefore go to Riccardo Adami, will follow the association between Lewis Hamilton and Peter Bonnington, engineer track of the seven-time world champion at Mercedes.

Riccardo Adami, 51, is an experienced engineer having already worked with Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz during their stints at Ferrari. His in-depth knowledge of the team and his ability to collaborate with high-level drivers make him a logical choice to support Lewis Hamilton.

Ferrari director Frédéric Vasseur did not wish to confirm this appointment, remaining evasive on the subject. However, the official announcement appears imminent, as the Briton prepares to don his new F1 colors.

There was once a question as to whether Peter Bonnington would follow Lewis Hamilton to Ferrari, but the engineer preferred to stay at Mercedes and will become the voice that will speak to the young ear of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, newcomer to the German team. This transfer to Ferrari therefore marks the end of the historic partnership between Hamilton and Peter “Bono” Bonnington, considered one of the most successful driver-racing engineer duos in F1 history.

Lewis Hamilton should be able to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari (F1) around January 20 or 21 on the Fiorano track, owned by Scuderia Ferrari, then at the end of the month on the Barcelona circuit. The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion will ride aboard the F1-75 for the 2022 season or the SF-23 for the 2023 F1 season. Finally, it will make its debut in an official session from February 26 to 28 during the three days of winter testing organized in Bahrain.
