Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster appear to have made their relationship official, after being spotted on a dinner date Monday night.

According to People magazine, the two artists spent a romantic evening, full of laughter, around dinner.
Two days earlier, the star of “Deadpool & Wolverine” had attended one of the last performances of the play “Once Upon a Mattress”, in which his partner appears, in New York, accompanied by Carol Burnett. The latter, who played the same role as Sutton Foster in the original 1959 version, received a standing ovation during the intermission.
This officialization comes after the announcement of the divorce of Hugh Jackman and his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, after 27 years of marriage last September: “We were fortunate to share nearly 3 decades together as husband and wife. wife in a wonderful and loving marriage. Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” we read in a joint press release. For her part, Sutton Foster also filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, screenwriter of “Ocean’s Eleven”, in October 2023, after ten years of marriage.
A fruitful collaboration on stage
The new couple, who shared the stage on Broadway in “The Music Man” between December 2021 and January 2023, sparked rumors of an extramarital affair, leading to the end of their marriages. “A lot of people on Broadway knew about it, and we kept it quiet because they’re both lovely, wonderful people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was some liaison and overlap,” the source told Us Weekly in November.
The actress fueled the allegations in October by liking a publication Instagram from a blogger claiming that Hugh Jackman was “running away with his mistress” and planning a “soft launch” of their relationship.
In June, during an interview with the 2024 Drama Desk Awards, Sutton Foster praised his former co-star to People, confiding: “He’s one of the best guys ever, a partner amazing”.
