Ice rink, musical comedy… What is the outcome of the Christmas activities at the Chaurian Commerce Office?

From Friday December 20 to Sunday December 29, a ice skating rink was installed in the Halle aux Grains of Castelnaudary at the initiative of theOffice du commerce chaurien (OCC). A winter activity that delighted young and old alike.

If it was the flagship entertainment during this period of Christmas festivities in the city, other animations were also offered throughout the holidays to attract people to the streets and businesses of the Chaurian city. And the results are rather positive.

70 skaters on average each day

Open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the ice rink welcomed many children, often coming with their families. On average, approximately 70 skaters put on their skates every afternoon to enjoy a 30-minute gliding session. “The attendants were all smiles. It was heartwarming to see so many people gathered,” says the OCC secretary.

These little people also had the opportunity to extend this moment around a snack. “It was a real success. Despite the departures on vacation, the public was present to come and spend an afternoon with family or friends,” continues the representative of the traders’ association.

Fireworks canceled

The Chaurien Commerce Office also proposed two shows: the musical Peter Pan and a dance show by the Délice d’Amour company . “In total, we had a little more than 200 cumulative spectators on these events”, we receive information from the association.

Only downside: the wanderings of Santa Claus and his elves as well as the fireworks had to be canceledMonday, December 23. “The weather conditions did not allow us to end our year in style.
