[CES2025] DLSS 4 arrives with the NVIDIA RTX 5000

This night, NVIDIA announced its new range of graphics cards, with the arrival of the GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. The opportunity also for the greens to announce the arrival of DLSS 4, the fourth generation of Deep Learning Super Sampling. So, what will this new generation bring compared to the previous one? The main difference is at the level of “Frame Generation”. Where with the RTX 4000, DLSS 3.5 was capable of introducing an additional image, DLSS 4 will insert three.

According to NVIDIA, “Multi Frame Generation” would provide up to 8 times better performance in games like Cyberpunk 2077. If DLSS 4 will only be compatible with RTX 5000 graphics cards, NVIDIA will also introduce Reflex 2, the objective of which is still to reduce latency but also to increase responsiveness. If Reflex 2 will initially only be compatible with the RTX 5000, all GeForce RTXs should ultimately benefit from it.

As soon as the RTX 5000 arrives, that is to say, at the end of January, the 30th to be precise, 75 games will be compatible with DLSS 4 for the launch, for example Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle et Star Wars Outlaws.

Of course, it is during our own tests that we will be able to judge the performance of this new DLSS 4.
