To try to keep its head above water, the Dacia Spring is lowering its price, but not only that…

Last year, the Dacia Spring pointed at 86e place in the top 100 best sellers with 5,144 copies. A ranking which places it far behind the Citroën E-C3 (58e with 8,252 sales).

Last November, the Belgian division of the brand offered a generous discount with a Dacia Spring priced at just €10,590. At this price, you had to settle for the basic Essential finish and a less powerful 45 hp engine.

This version is now arriving in , but without the reduction applied to our neighbors. Thus, the Spring starts at €16,900, or €2,000 less than until now. This version, 45 hp and Essential finish, is also available for rental at €79/month thanks to an introductory offer (37 months/30,000 km, first rent increased by €3,000).

Obviously, it is equipped with several security systems in order to meet the GSR2 standard such as automatic emergency braking, sign recognition, overspeed alert, lane change alert and even the driver monitoring system. But to take advantage of the manual air conditioning and front electric windows, you have to go upmarket with the Expression finish, which implies to add €1,000. The Spring 45 Expression is sold for €17,900.

An identical battery

For an additional €1,000, the Extreme level gives access to the Media Nav Live system with a 10-inch touchscreen as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

This new Spring retains its 26.8 kWh accumulator, ensuring a range of 200 km in real use. She will simply go through them more leisurely.

Will this new version allow the Spring to get its head above water? Nothing is less certain since its main competitor, the Citroën E-C3, is priced at €23,200 (or even €19,300 bonus deducted). If the price is higher, its services are much better.
