Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti: Price in Euros, Technical Sheet and Release Date

NVIDIA recently unveiled its new GeForce RTX 50 series of graphics cards, based on the Blackwell architecture, at CES 2025. This range includes the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 models, all equipped with GDDR7 memory of new generation and using the PCI-Express 5.0 x16 interface.

Specifications and prices of new models

  • GeForce RTX 5090 : This high-end card features 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB of 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory, with a 512-bit memory interface providing 1,792 GB/s bandwidth. It has an energy consumption of 575 W. Its price is set at 2,360 euros ($1,999).
  • GeForce RTX 5080 : This model has 10,752 CUDA cores and 16 GB of GDDR7 memory at 30 Gbps, with a 256-bit interface for a bandwidth of 960 GB/s. Its energy consumption is 360 W. It is priced at 1,190 euros ($999).
  • GeForce RTX 5070 Ti : Equipped with 8,960 CUDA cores and 16 GB of GDDR7 memory at 28 Gbps, with a 256-bit interface providing a bandwidth of 896 GB/s. Its consumption is 300 W. Its price is 889 euros (749 dollars).
  • GeForce RTX 5070 : This model includes 6,144 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR7 memory, with a 192-bit interface. Its energy consumption is 250 W. It is available at a price of 549 dollars.

Availability dates

The GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be available from January 30, 2025, while the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will be released in February 2025.

Performance and technological innovations

The RTX 50 series introduces significant performance improvements, notably thanks to DLSS 4 technology. This new version of Deep Learning Super Sampling uses artificial intelligence to generate multiple frames per rendered frame, improving fluidity and visual quality games.

In addition, the Blackwell architecture offers increased energy efficiency and better thermal management, despite higher energy consumption for high-end models. For example, the RTX 5090, although consuming 575 W, is designed to fit into more compact cases thanks to a two-slot design.

Market impact and competition

With this new series, NVIDIA strengthens its dominant position in the high-end graphics card market. The announced performances, doubling those of previous models in some cases, and the competitive prices, notably for the RTX 5070, could put significant pressure on competitors such as AMD.

RTX 5070 vs RTX 4090

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series marks a breakthrough in graphics cards, delivering cutting-edge performance and innovative technologies. Consumers and gaming enthusiasts can expect an improved experience, although increased power consumption may raise questions regarding the efficiency and thermal management of these new cards.
