Right now, in Los Angeles, Gavin Lux is A little too much. And clearly, the club does not seem to trust him too much due to his offensive and defensive difficulties.

It’s no secret that at the right price, Lux could exit. With Mookie Betts, Chris Taylor, Max Muncy, Tommy Edman, Hye-seong Kim and Miguel Rojas able to play in the middle of the infield, there is no shortage of options.

But are any clubs interested?

Right now, the Seattle Mariners, a club that is always looking for offense, would be in the mix. But in recent weeks, the Yankees have shown interest in Lux.

The Yankees need reinforcement in the infield. We can think that the Bombardiers’ preference would be the third cushion, a question of bringing Jazz Chisholm Jr. back to his natural position, i.e. second base.

But with Jazz capable of playing hot corner, it’s not impossible to think that for the right second baseman, Chisholm Jr. could stay at third base.

But the question is still whether Lux, who is not the most dominant of men, is THE good option for the Yankees who are trying to artificially recreate the offensive contribution of a certain Juan Soto.

Remember that the Yankees could also sign Alex Bregman or get Nolan Arenado to play third base. But right now, the rumors aren’t pointing toward New York for either man.
