George Campbell, Caden Clark and Jalen Neal selected by the United States

They will face Venezuela on January 18 and Costa Rica on January 22

MONTRÉAL – Defenders George Campbell and Jalen Neal as well as midfielder Caden Clark have been selected by the United States national team for a camp that begins this Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team will face Venezuela at Chase Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale on January 18 at 3:00 p.m. EST, then Costa Rica on January 22 at 7:00 p.m. EST at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando.

This is Campbell’s first senior national team call-up. The 23-year-old was last invited by the United States U23 national team for friendlies against Guinea and in March 2024. Campbell also has two caps for the U20 national team.

Clark could also make his senior national team debut after receiving his first invitation since December 2021. Clark was an unused substitute in a 1–0 United States victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 19, 2021. The 21-year-old also has 11 caps for the United States U20 national team, where he notably helped his country win the Concacaf U20 championship in 2022.

Neal’s last call-up was for the 2023 Gold Cup, where he played four matches and helped his country reach the semi-finals of the tournament. The 21-year-old defender has six caps for the senior national team. At junior level, Neal was also part of the team that won the 2022 Concacaf U20 Championship, alongside Clark.
