Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk admitted his disappointment after the draw against Manchester United, still trying to put things into perspective.

The Reds were unable to capitalize on draws at Arsenal and Chelsea this weekend, as they were held to a draw by Manchester United 2-2.

While they remain in pole position for the title, Van Dijk reflected calmly after this result against Red Devils declaring at the BBC Radio 5 Live: “the match could have been much worse if we are honest with ourselves”.

“They had a big chance at the end of the match which could have caused a much worse result than what we got. I’m really disappointed to have lost points at home, but that’s how it is, we have to go move forward and that’s what we’re going to do.”

“We found the 2-1 and then we had to try to manage the game and keep the ball longer than three or four passes.”

“But we lost it too easily at times and we were more open in defense than we should have been. We are not perfect, we are still learning and we have to learn from this too .”
