10 years later, a few days before the fateful date, the day of January 7 promises to be full of emotion. A special issue of Charlie Hebdo will hit newsstands on Tuesday, ten years to the day after the attack. If the content of the front page is still kept secret, the newspaper’s teams assure that they wanted to produce an edition placed under the sign of union and gathering.
Tribute to the victims of the January 2015 attacks
A survey measuring French people’s attachment to freedom of expression will also be found in the pages of the weekly. In addition to this highly anticipated outing, Tuesday morning will be marked by three commemorations. A first ceremony will take place on rue Nicolas-Appert, in front of the newspaper’s former premises, then a second on Boulevard Richard Lenoir, scene of the bloody murder of police officer Ahmed Merabet.
