Already the relapse for Philippe Clément and the Rangers! – All football

We thought he was cured, but the Glasgow Rangers patient relapsed this Sunday away to Hibernian. A draw and two points lost which put Philippe Clément back under pressure.

Only three days ago, Rangers won a very important victory to launch the year 2025. Philippe Clément’s first victory in an Old Firm, and in what way, since Rangers dominated Celtic by a score of 3 goals to 0.

We thought that Clément had saved his head, even if the Rangers only came back 11 points behind Celtic Glasgow, solid leader of Scottish D1. But we had to move on at full speed, since this Sunday, a new match was on the program, namely a trip to Hibernian, 7th in the Premiership.

And the Glasgow Rangers again dropped points, conceding a spectacular split (3-3) in Edinburgh. Nicolas Raskin was again the starter and captain, but it was another Belgian, a little forgotten, who stood out.

Bushiri scores against Raskin

Indeed, while a hat-trick from Hamza Igamane allowed Rangers to lead 2-3, Rocky Bushiri (ex-Eupen) scored Hibernian’s third goal in the 83rd, which therefore deprives Clément and Raskin of two precious points. Bushiri, former U21 international (now Congolese international), has been playing for Hibernian since 2022.

Celtic Glasgow host St Mirren at 4 p.m. this Sunday, and can therefore already regain two of the three points lost during the Old Firm. Three steps forward, two steps back for the Rangers, who won’t advance very far at this rate…
