This Saturday, January 4, Charles qualified for the Star Academy semi-final. Just before learning the good news, the 18-year-old student felt unwell during prime time on TF1, as he confided to Nikos Aliagas.

It was Ulysses who left the Star Academy this Saturday, January 4. Ebony has decided to face Franck on January 18. The previous week, the first finalist will have been chosen between Marine and Charles. The latter was by his own admission elsewhere when commenting on this decision. “I knew she was going to choose Franck. I’m going crazy”he started, creating a certain embarrassment. “I’m happy to share this with Marine, because we shared a duet, but we can share more”he then said, before realizing the double meaning of his sentence. “Wait, calm down!” Marine replied. “I’m giving up the antenna”concluded the 18-year-old young man. But why was he in this state? Nikos Aliagas made a revelation to viewers.

“What I can say is that this evening’s prime was particularly trying for you, can I say that? It was a physically demanding prime for you, there was a little moment of hesitation in behind the scenes. You came back as if nothing had happened.declared the host. “The truth, I felt unwell a few minutes ago, but not very serious, eh, everything is fine”Charles confirmed. “A little half an hour ago, there was a little burst of energy”added the presenter. “You came back on stage like an artist would have come back on stage, well done Charles”commented the former candidate and host of the after-party Karima Charni. “That’s class”concluded Nikos Aliagas.

Before feeling unwell, Charles gave everything to secure his place in the semi-final

During this prime “on the way to the semi-finals”Charles did not spare himself. Whether during his duet with Gaëtan Roussel on Come I’ll take you to the wind or during his solo Rise Like a Phoenix by Conchita Wurst, the young Breton gave everything. Far from suggesting that he would feel unwell during the evening, his powerful voice was there, particularly when the four nominated candidates sang I’m just a songa very technical piece by Quebec singer Ginette Reno which was covered two decades ago by the winner of Star Academy 5, Magalie Vaé. Theater professor Hugues Hamelynck estimated that Charles, “amazing”? was the “vocal impersonation” by Ginette Reno.
