The Trois-Rivières Lions got the better of the Adirondack Thunder for the second time in 24 hours on Saturday.

This time, the men of head coach Ron Choules won by a score of 5 to 2.

The Lions resumed their momentum from the day before, scoring twice in the first 10 minutes of the game. Justin Ducharme and Wyatt McLeod were the authors of his successes.

A little later, Chris Jandric widened his team’s lead. The Thunder knocked on the door at the end of the period, without however beating goalkeeper Zachary Émond.

In the second engagement, the Mauricie club seemed to sit on its lead. The Thunder had several chances and Ryan Francis reduced the gap, while a penalty was called against a Lions player.

During the third period, the Thunder increased their attacks and got within a goal. Jakov Novak and Isaac Dufort, however, ended the comeback with two empty-net goals.

The Lions and the Thunder will play a third game in as many days on Sunday afternoon at the Colisée Vidéotron.
