Ligue 1, 16th day
Pierre-Mauroy Stadium
LOSC-Nantes 1-1
Goals: Gudmundsson (41st) for Lille; Abline (70th on pen.) for Nantes
After Montpellier in December, LOSC still loses points against a poorly ranked team. Well organized, Nantes snatched a 1-1 draw from Pierre-Mauroy to take a valuable unit at the bottom of the table.
With Antoine Kombouaré well up against the journalists but still on the bench, Nantes continued its maintenance operation in Lille. A difficult task facing a Lille team undefeated since September in Ligue 1. In the first period, LOSC logically took control of operations. However, the defense held by Anthony Lopes did not give up a meter. The former OL goalkeeper even made a decisive save (26th) to maintain the 0-0. Nantes, however, had to crack just before the break. Cabella found the bar with a curling shot, Gudmundsson volleyed the ball past Lopes.
The advantage of one goal was not enough for LOSC to relax, but that is what happened. Nantes even equalized in the 49th minute through Ganago. However, the goal was disallowed for offside by Lepenant. The warning was not taken seriously by Lille, less and less incisive offensively. Nantes benefited from a little help to come back. Diakité mowed down Mostafa Mohamed in the Dogues area. Abline transformed the penalty with composure. LOSC then pushed to regain the advantage but came up against a disciplined and courageous Nantes defense as well as an impeccable Anthony Lopes. 1-1, LOSC loses two precious points and remains 4th. Nantes remains 15th but takes a good point to maintain.
