According to the American press, Matthew Alan Livelsberger, the driver of the Tesla vehicle which exploded in front of a Trump hotel in Las Vegas on January 1, left a note in which he explained his actions. As a reminder, the American special forces sergeant committed suicide before the car exploded.

On Wednesday, January 1, a Tesla car exploded in front a Trump hotel, in Las Vegas, leaving seven injured. Its driver, Matthew LivelsbergerAmerican special forces sergeant, himself committed suicide before the vehicle exploded.

If the latter could quickly be identified by the American authorities, the reasons for his action still remained unclear. However, three days after the incident, the Associated Press revealed that the driver left a note in his phone and in which he gave a glimpse of the reasons for his action.

In it, he explained that he had acted in this way to serve as “alarm signal” in the United Statesrelate our colleagues who quote the investigators. He also assured that he wanted “purifier” his mind “brothers that I lost and to relieve me of the burden of the lives I have taken.”

As a reminder, Matthew Livelsberger, had been involved in the American army since 2006 and joined the special forces in 2012.

“It was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake-up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my message across than a gunshot with fireworks and explosives,” he also wrote.

Finally, still according to the Associated Press, Matthew Livelsberger also discussed many other subjects such as politics, social problems or even the war in Ukraine and assured that the United States was “terminally ill and heading towards collapse.”

“Although this incident is more public and sensational than usual, ultimately it appears to be of a tragic case of suicide involving a heavily decorated combat veteran who was suffering post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other problems”, Spencer Evans, the FBI special agent in charge in Las Vegas, said Friday.
