This unexpected opportunity presented itself while both Spurs main goalkeepers were out for the game. Starting goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined with a long-term ankle injury, while replacement goalkeeper Fraser Forster was unfortunately unavailable after falling ill.
At just 25 years old, Austin has been a part of the Tottenham organization for almost a decade, and this match marked his first appearance in a competitive encounter.
