Sara Hector won the Kranjska Gora giant hands down. The Swede was ahead of Albanian Lara Colturi by 1″42 and New Zealander Alice Robinson by 1″52. Best Swiss, Lara Gut-Behrami placed 6th. The Ticino was unable to take advantage of a route marked by her dad Pauli.
Already the fastest this morning on the initial track, Sara Hector did not fail in the 2nd round. Solid, the Swede managed her race to offer herself a second success on this track after 2022. Hector makes a double blow by taking the lead in the general as well as that of the giant.
The Swiss did not sign any exploits. The best of them, Lara Gut-Behrami, fell to 6th place. Camille Rast, who gave up her place as leader overall, finished in 8th place. The Valaisanne, 15th in the morning, was able to gain 7 ranks by being more aggressive. However, things went less well for Wendy Holdener (18th) and Michelle Gisin (26th). The Obwalden is still chasing a first top-15 in technique this winter.
