For fans of national Football, the start of the year is marked by the traditional and largest youth competition in the country: the Copinha. This year’s edition is the 55th, featuring three teams from Alagoas: CRB, Zumbi and Jaciobá.
The Copinha 2025 will host 20 teams making their debut. A total of 128 clubs are participating and have been divided into 32 groups. The tournament started this Thursday (February 2) and will run until January 25, São Paulo’s anniversary.
CRB
Galo are the reigning Alagoas champions in the under-20 category and are in Group 9 of the competition alongside Água Santa (SP), Brasiliense and Tupã (SP). They will make their debut this Friday (February 3) at 3:15 p.m. against Água Santa.
The Regatiano team will also face Brasiliense on Monday (February 6) at 3:15 p.m. and Tupã on Thursday (February 9) at 3:15 p.m.
Zombie
Zumbi reached the semi-finals of the Alagoas Under-20 Championship and advanced to the knockout round at the previous Copinha in 2023, where they were eliminated by Sport after a 3–0 defeat. This year the team is in Group 29, which includes EC São Bernardo (SP), Flamengo and Cruzeiro-PB. Their first match will take place on Sunday (February 5) at 2:45 p.m.

The União dos Palmares team will play against Flamengo on Wednesday (February 8) at 9:30 p.m. and against Cruzeiro-PB on Saturday (February 11) at 7:30 p.m.
Jacioba
Jaciobá were runners-up to CRB in the Under-20 state championship and are in Group 7 of the tournament, facing Ferroviária, Santos and Tirol-CE. Their first match will be against Ferroviária this Friday (February 3) at 5:45 p.m.
Azulão do Sertão will also play Santos on Monday (February 6) at 7:30 p.m. and face Tirol-CE on Thursday (February 9).
