The locations of the 32nd, 16th and 8th finals of the French Club Cup, which will be played on February 1 and 2, have been revealed… and some clubs will have to cross France.
This will notably be the case for Dylan Rocher's club, Fréjus, which will move from Var to Hauts-de-France, to Grande-Synthe (North).
A trip of almost 1,200 km which upsets some pétanque players of the European champion club, like Stéphane Robineau. The latter regretted on social networks that his team, like others, would have to travel more than 1000 km and more than 7 hours by car to play. And this even though the groups are supposed to be drawn at random… by geographical proximity. This will also be the case for Ax-les-Thermes, which will also travel to the North.

Lachapelle-sous-Aubenas to Brive
Note that two clubs from our departments are still competing in the Coupe de France: Lachapelle-sous-Aubenas (Ardèche) will go to Brive while Saint-Marcellin (Isère) will travel to Alsace, to Illzach. Beautiful trips in perspective too.
