“The evil goons chose the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. The Cybertruck contained the explosion and directed it upwards. Even the glass doors [de l’hôtel] were not broken. »

— Elon Musk, entrepreneur and ally of Donald Trump, attributes the fact that the explosion of a vehicle of this brand in Las Vegas on Wednesday did not cause more serious damage to the Tesla Cybertruck bill. The blast, which occurred in front of the Trump Hotel in the gambling capital, killed Matthew Alan Livelsberger, a 37-year-old soldier from Colorado, who was sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle. The “Green Beret” reportedly shot himself in the head moments before the explosion.

PS: The authorities found in the Cybertruck two semi-automatic handguns, legally purchased on December 30, 2024 by Livelsberger, as well as cans of gasoline and large fireworks mortars. Musk lashed out at some media outlets, including the Associated Press, for suggesting the explosion may have been caused by the Cybertruck itself.

PPS: Livelsberber's motivations are not yet known. One of his uncles described him as a strong supporter of Donald Trump and an excellent soldier. The type of vehicle rented by the suspect and the location where it exploded are likely key facts in this case which is believed to have no connection with the New van-ram attack, the alleged perpetrator acted alone, according to authorities.
