The British royal family on Saturday paid tribute to a 31-year-old man with a royal connection who was killed in the New Orleans truck ramming attack in Louisiana state.

Edward Pettifer was the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former caretaker.
The person was one of 14 people who died when a U.S. Army veteran drove his truck into a crowd on New Year’s Day.
“The entire family is devastated by the tragic news of Ed’s death in New Orleans. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend to so many,” the family said in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by British media.

“We will all miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with the other families who lost family members in this terrible attack. We ask to be able to mourn the loss of Ed with family, in private,” it was added.
Edward Pettifer, originally from the Chelsea district of London, was the stepson of Alexandra Pettifer who looked after the sons of King Charles III in the 1990s, when she was known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke, d ‘after NBC News.
The King was deeply saddened after learning of the death of Edward Pettifer, a Buckingham Palace source said.
All but one of the victims of the ram truck attack have now been identified by the New Orleans coroner’s office.
All 14 victims died from blunt force trauma on Bourbon Street, the coroner’s office said.
Remember that American President Joe Biden is due to visit the scene of the attack on Monday.
