The first days of January are expected to be disrupted according to Météo , with rain, ice and snow.

For this Friday, January 3, a large northeast quarter is placed on yellow alert for snow and ice. Three departments of the Alps are on yellow avalanche alert. For the weekend, the weather promises to be disrupted according to Météo France forecasts, with gray weather over almost the entire country. On Saturday, only a small south-eastern quarter of France will be spared with rising temperatures, up to 15°C are expected in Corsica, 14 in or 13 in Nice.

In the North, the mercury will not display more than 4°C in or Brest, 3°C in and 1°C in Alençon or .

• Temperatures rising on Sunday

On Sunday, the country will again be divided in two with rain in the North and clearings in the South. Temperatures will rise above seasonal norms throughout the country, with up to 16°C expected on the Basque coast or in Corsica for the southern part and 13°C in Brest or for the North. Allow 10°C in and Montélimar, 11°C in Paris, as in or 12°C in Nantes and Cherbourg.

The wind will also be present for these first days of January with gusts of up to 80 km/h expected on Sunday in , 75 km/h on the coasts and 60 km/h in Paris, Lille or .
