It is with deep sadness and immense indignation that we learned the tragic news of the attempted rape followed by murder of young Souadou Sow, aged only 12. This heinous and inhumane act upsets us all and reminds us of the importance of tirelessly fighting against violence and abuse.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Souadou Sow’s family and loved ones at this painful time.
We vigorously denounce this barbaric act and insist that the law be applied with the greatest severity.
We reaffirm our commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of every child and to working for a Senegal where everyone can live in safety and peace. »
