If the Prince of Monaco began his speech alone, he was quickly joined by his wife, Princess Charlene, then by their children, the twins Jacques and Gabriella. The two 10-year-old children are making more and more public appearances alongside their parents.

“In this moment of celebration and sharing, our children join us in sending you our best wishes. May this new year bring happiness, health and success to you, as well as to all those who are dear to you”, concluded Albert II, before exclaiming, with his wife and children: “Happy New Year! Happy New Year! Happy Anu Noevu!”

This is the very first time that the voices of the two children resonate in one of the princely couple’s videos, which delighted Internet users.

In an interview given to Riviera Radioin December 2024, Albert II had already confirmed want to involve your children more. “It has to be done in small steps […]he clarified, however. We do things but I don’t want to make them do too much and they still need to be able to live their childhood and have fun with their friends.”

In front of the princely palace decorated for the end-of-year celebrations, Albert II first declared to the Monegasques: “It is a privileged moment for me to address you, with all the respect and affection that I door to each and every one of you.”

The prince also praised the challenges brilliantly met by his compatriots, the successes of his people, and above all, “the unwavering solidarity which characterizes the Monegasque community.” He then continued, moved: “I would like to pay tribute to your commitment, your resilience and your spirit of brotherhood.”
