2025 F1 Calendar: The highly anticipated 75th season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix, resuming its season-opening status.
Formula 1 and the FIA have revealed the calendar for the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship, which includes several changes aimed at improving the geographical flow of the season. Always highly anticipated, this 75th season will start with the Australian Grand Prix, which returns to its traditional position as the first race of the season.
One of the most notable changes concerns the date of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Grands Prix, now scheduled for April, due to the presence of Ramadan in March 2025. Unlike the previous season, where these races were held on Saturday, they will be contested again on Sunday evening.
The Chinese Grand Prix has also been rescheduled and will now take place as the second race of the season, just before the Japanese Grand Prix. The season will start two weeks later than usual, giving teams additional time to finalize the development of their cars ahead of pre-season testing, scheduled in Bahrain from February 26-28.
Furthermore, another significant change concerns the reorganization of the Hungarian and Belgian Grands Prix in the calendar. Hungary will return to its traditional place as the final race before the summer break, with Belgium leading the way in a two-race weekend. The summer break will follow, during which teams will observe the mandatory closure of their factories.
These adjustments aim to streamline the season while taking into account logistical and cultural considerations, to ensure a smoother championship for teams, drivers and fans.
